Widnes Vikings have announced the loan signing of Andrew Dixon from Salford Red Devils on an initial two-week loan deal.

The 33-year-old Manchester-born forward comes to the Vikings with a wealth of experience behind him as a second rower, previously featuring for St Helens, Leigh Leopards, Toronto Wolfpack and Toulouse Olympique.

He will train with his new teammates for the first time tonight and will be in contention for Saturday’s Summer Bash game against Swinton Lions, which will kick-off at 12:45pm at York’s LNER Community Stadium.
