Super League forward “in high demand”

It’s May which means recruitment has gone into overdrive across Super League.

May 1st means Super League clubs can begin to negotiate with off contract players from rivals clubs and thus there have been plenty of rumours as consequence.

For instance, it has been reported that Leeds Rhinos youngster Sam Walters is testing the open market for offers.

Likewise fellow young forward Owen Trout of the Huddersfield Giants has turned down a deal from the West Yorkshire club as confirmed by Ian Watson.

There are reports of interest from Hull FC and Castleford Tigers. Speaking of the Tigers, they’re said to be interested in Ethan Ryan of Hull KR.

Hull seems to be the hotbed for rumours with the Black and Whites also linked with a stunning move for Shaun Kenny-Dowall of Hull KR as well as allowing Connor Wynne to explore his options for next year.

Meanwhile, Tony Smith has made it clear that the club want to keep Chris Satae but that the prop is set to consider options elsewhere.

Now it has been reported by Sky Sports’ Kyle Walker that the prop is “in high demand across Super League” with many clubs interested in bringing in the prop to bolster their pack.

It seems it will be some time until Satae decides his future.
