Super League forward hit with ban for headbutt

It has been another busy week for the Match Review panel.

They charged 11 players from Super League this week handing out an initial four bans.

This was extended to five when French trialist at Wakefield Trinity Hugo Salabio was handed a huge seven match ban and a £1,000 fine for a spear tackle on Richie Myler.

Now a further 11 players have been charged from the lower leagues.

These include a total of eight players.

Catalans Dragons forward Tiaki Chan has been suspended for two games for a head butt whislt on dual registration with Toulouse Olympique.

Meanwhile, Huddersfield Giants loanee Aidan McGowan has been fined.

Salford Red Devils reserves prop Jordan Brown faces tribunal after a red card against Castleford Tigers.

Following the latest round of Betfred Championship, Betfred League One, Academy, Scholarship and Reserve fixtures, the Match Review Panel have issued the following sanctions:

Kian Morgan (Oldham) – Grade C Dangerous Contact – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Tiaki Chan (Toulouse Olympique) – Grade D Headbutt – 2 Match Penalty Notice and £125 Fine
Zack McComb (Halifax Panthers) – Grade C Dangerous Contact 1 Match Penalty Notice
Nikau Williams (Newcastle Thunder) – Grade B Disputes Decision – 1 Match Penalty Notice
Aidan McGowan (Batley Bulldogs) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – £125 Fine
Kieran Dixon (Widnes Vikings) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – £125 Fine
Jesse Dee (York Knights) – Grade D Strikes – 2 Match Penalty Notice and £125 Fine
Jordan Williams (London Broncos) – Grade C Dangerous Contact – 1 Match Penalty Notice
