The new season of Super League is around the corner and that means the Super League Fantasy game has also launched for 2025.

Sports fans will be very familiar with the concept of ‘Fantasy’ sports with the football’s Fantasy Premier League one of the leading free-to-play sports games in the world, drawing in over 10 million players.

Super League Fantasy is going around again in 2025 with fans able to manage their own 17-man squad based on a £2.1 million cap space.

Players score points based on their real-life performances with last year’s Man of Steel Mikey Lewis earning the most points per game in 2024 at a whopping 71.15, almost ten points clear of his new teammate Rhyse Martin.

The rules of the game are simple and with the ability for each fan to enter three teams and some brilliant prizes on offer, it’s certainly a game worth considering as we build to the 2025 Super League launch in less than two weeks time.

Super League Fantasy 2025 launches with new rule implemented

A statement from Super League confirmed the renewal of the game with a new rule change also implemented to further help fans select their best possible team.

The statement read: “The Betfred Super League Fantasy Game is back for 2025!

“With 2.1 million available to spend, you can now build your ultimate Betfred Super League Fantasy Team for the 2025 season.

“However, you’ll need to select wisely as your team can’t contain more than three players per Super League team, you must select a player in every position and your four interchanges have to consist of two forward and two backs.

“Following supporter feedback, the deadline for squad submission will now be 6pm on a Thursday evening prior to each gameweek, allowing fans to see the 19-player squads for Thursday, Friday and Saturday Super League fixtures each weekend.

“Players range from as little as 50k to 170k with seven players sitting at the highest price point – Dragons duo Sam Tomkins & Luke Keary, Saints double-act Kyle Feldt & Jack Welsby, reigning Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel Mikey Lewis, Warriors starman Bevan French and England and Wolves Captain George Williams.

“There are a host of new players available to choose from including Hull KR’s Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, St Helens duo Kyle Feldt and Tristan Sailor and an influx of Catalans Dragons including Nick Cotric, Luke Keary and Elliott Whitehead.

“You should also check out the top performers from the 2024 season which include Rhyse Martin who has joined Hull KR from the Rhinos, Warrington fullback Matt Dufty and Hull FC powerhouse Herman Ese’ese.

“It is important to choose your captain wisely as your skipper will score double game points and you can select a different leader each week to maximise your return.

“Your team will be entered into the overall Betfred Super League Fantasy League with monthly and annual prizes up for grabs including tickets to major Rugby League events and SuperLeague+ passes.

“In addition, fans can create their own mini leagues to compete and challenge friends with the ability to enter up to as many as three mini leagues at one time. Mini leagues are password protected, and members can invite anyone they wish to join.”
