Super League disciplinary verdict as eight players charged including St Helens and Leeds Rhinos men

A total of eight players have been charged by Super League disciplinary this week following their actions in round six.

The Match Review Panel assembled today to pore over the weekend’s action and nine charges have been issued with one player receiving two charges for similar offences.

Wakefield Trinity’s Jazz Tevaga is that man, with the loose-forward being handed two Grade A late contact on passer charges following the win Daryl Powell’s side picked up over York Knights on Friday night.

Five charges have come from that game, with York players picking up the other three. Josh Griffin has been given a Grade B dangerous contact charge and three penalty points. Jack Martin has been hit with the same punishment for the same offence, while Jesse Dee has been stung with a Grade A late contact on passer charge.

Leeds Rhinos’ Jack Bird landed a Grade B charge on his home debut for his new club for head contact, while St Helens forward David Klemmer has been hit with a Grade B late contact charge.

Bradford Bulls’ Phoenix Steinwede has been given a disciplinary point following his debut outing against Castleford Tigers and Jordan Lane has been given the same after Grade A late contact.

Phoenix Steinwede (Bradford Bulls) – Grade A Late contact on passer – Penalty points: 1 – Total Penalty points: 1 – No further action

David Klemmer (St Helens) – Grade B Late contact on passer – Penalty points: 3 – Total Penalty points: 4.25 – Fine

Jazz Tevaga (Wakefield Trinity) – Grade A late contact on passer – Penalty points: 1 – Total Penalty points: 1.75 – No further action

    its disgusting that there are a few players getting away with gross stuff, like jowitt kicking a player whilst they dive for the ball, and walker kneeing someone in the back of the knee at the end of the game, apparently there was also a late tackle on williams but i didnt see that one, but apparently neither did the RFL, they are so bad at actually punishing, its an absolute joke.
