The Super League disciplinary news has been confirmed with the Match Review Panel ruling on the six games from Round Three.
Early rounds of the competition and how the Match Review Panel have adjudged issues have meant that Super League disciplinary news has become hotly anticipated.
Round One seeing a whopping sixteen bans cemented that focus on Super League disciplinary news given how extreme the punishments were concerning the new stricter laws on head contact.
Players and officials are adapting though and Round Two saw just six charges, a welcome reduction from the opening set of fixtures.
Round Three saw a number of sin bins though and as such several players will have been left in nervous anticipation of today’s findings reported by the Match Review Panel.
James Bentley was perhaps lucky not to see red in Leeds Rhinos’ clash with Catalans Dragons as the game saw four sin bins in total.
Friday night’s action between St Helens and Leigh Leopards pitted John Asiata against the Red Vee for the first time since he injured four players in last year’s Challenge Cup semi-final.
It didn’t take long for sparks to fly with the Leigh captain sent to the sin bin after 41 seconds whilst Saints’ Konrad Hurrell made head-on-head contact and could be fretting.
A sin bin for Hull FC’s new loanee Matty Russell was a talking point during Sunday’s lone match and he also now learns his fate.
All those events have led to the question of ‘who has been punished and for how long’, and now the results are in.

This rugby league ruling is out of order what the Leigh captain did on the tackle was outof order. He injured players last season & now gets away with it again. Load of rubbish.The disciplinary panel need to dig deeper on these tackles

Kath, if you’ve got access to the Sky Recording of the Match , watch at one minute and fifty six seconds ! You’ll see Alex Walmsley and another Saints player tackle Josh Charnley , fairly however they do twist him and as they do, in dives Konrad Hurrell at Josh’s Ankles 😳 TV don’t mention it , former Saint Amor is too busy reviewing a Saints lost ball in the previous play !
Asiata wasn’t Banned because the tackle was legal !
