Monday has rolled around again, which can only mean one thing: the Match Review Panel have made their Super League disciplinary decisions.
Last week, we saw six bans handed out, with Hull FC duo Ligi Sao and Denive Balmforth handed one game bans, while Salford duo Oli Partington and Tim Lafai suffered the same fate.
Castleford Tigers forward Muizz Mustapha also received a game ban, as did Wigan’s Kaide Ellis.
This week, the action kicked off with Leeds Rhinos edging closer to the playoff spots with a win over Catalans Dragons, while Warrington Wolves also defeated Castleford Tigers at Wheldon Road.
Luke Yates’ yellow would have had him worried about the Panel’s verdict.
We then saw some huge scorelines on Saturday, with Hull KR hammering St Helens 42-6 and Salford Red Devils recording a 60-10 victory over Huddersfield Giants.
Huddersfield’s Andre Savelio will be sweating after his yellow card.
St Helens’ Tommy Makinson was sent off for a high shot and Waqa Blake saw himself yellow-carded – two incidents clocked by the Match Review Panel.
On Sunday, results went as expected as Leigh Leopards beat London Broncos and Wigan Warriors beat Hull FC.
Wigan, however, saw Patrick Mago carded for a late hit.Â
Super League disciplinary decisions confirmed with three bans
St Helens, along with their recent struggles, now will be without Tommy Makinson for three games, as he’s been slapped with a three game ban for Grade D Head Contact.
As well as him, James Batchelor will miss a game for Hull KR, while John Asiata’s Grade C Dangerous Contact charge will see him miss a game for Leigh Leopards.
