Super League coach promises “announcement” as deals get done

Hull FC have more players off contract than anyone.

The Black and Whites started the season with around 20 players off contract at the end of the season.

Some of them have already confirmed as going elsewhere.

Such as Chris Satae who is headed to Catalans Dragons and Brad Dwyer who is expected to sign for Warrington Wolves.

Meanwhile, the likes of Brad Fash has been confirmed at staying whilst Adam Swift faces an uncertain future.

Now Tony Smith has promised announcements.

“It’s progressing. Once again we’ll make an announcement when things are done and when we feel it’s the right time to announce,” Smith said on BBC Radio Humberside.

“Sometimes things get done and sat on for a while and when it’s a slow news week, but no these guys in the media department wouldn’t have a job if I just kept telling you everything that’s going to happen.

“They’re strategic planners and they come up with the exact right time to announce huge signings and re-signings, and retention. I’m just having a bit of fun and I don’t want them out of a job.”
