Hull KR are in red hot form despite the fact they have had to deal with some key absentees including one of their biggest signings in the shape of Jesse Sue who was banned for a dangerous tackle against Hull FC.

He returns this week against Huddersfield Giants but coach Willie Peters has made a key point about the tackle.

He said: “For someone like Jesse he’s proved himself in the NRL, but then coming to Super League you need to prove yourself again and he’s certainly done that.

“Obviously the tackle that he did against FC you could have easily looked to challenge it in the sense that it wasn’t vertical, but he did put him in that dangerous sort of position.

“The point I’m making there is that it wasn’t something he intentionally went out to do where you lose your spot because you deserve to because it was intentional. It was one of those unfortunate things.”

He confirmed that he will get his spot back this week and will be key against Huddersfield Giants’ big pack.

Peters said: “He does and will get his spot back because of what he’s done leading into this week’s game or before the Hull FC game.”
