Daryl Powell wasn’t best pleased with one call that went against his side yesterday.
When the Warrington Wolves led 24-10, Ben Currie seemed to score a game clinching try but it was disallowed by the video referee. Powell was left confused by the decision.
“There were a couple of turning points with the ball. Ben Currie’s try looked like a try to me and that flipped the game a little bit,” he said on Sky Sports.
“It was a tough game to watch.
“We needed to win and now we need to get back to improving the things we need to.”
Video referee Ben Thaler spotted a touch from Will Pryce that meant as Ben Currie juggled the ball there was a knock on.
Powell wasn’t pleased with the performance in general:
“Look when you’re a head coach and you’re watching games as chaotic as that at the end then it takes a bit of time away from the end of your life.
“It was a tough watch but we needed to win today and I thought we were a little bit nervous and we should that a little bit.
“Defensively I thought we were off a bit but we did some really good things with the ball.”
