Super League club’s “urgent” pursuit of TWO immediate signings complete

Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves, Hull KR and Hull FC have all confirmed transfer stories in recent times whilst the likes of Castleford Tigers and Leigh Leopards gave been open about being keen on immediate signings.

The Tigers have been linked with a move for Kayal Iro, the son of former Super League Champion and St Helens, Wigan and Leeds star Kevin Iro as well as George Burgess.

Meanwhile, Leeds and Wigan are among the clubs who have been active for the 2024 season with Wigan recently adding Adam Keighran from Catalans Dragons.

Warrington have turned to the NRL to bring in Lachlan Fitzgibbon in 2024 beating four other clubs including Leeds to his signature for the 2024 season and beyond. There have even been talks of this being an immediate move though this seems unlikely at present.

Hull KR have signed Oliver Gildart and Peta Hiku from the NRL for 2024 as well as AJ Wallace from the Bradford Bulls.

Hull FC meanwhile allowed Josh Griffin to join Wakefield Trinity effective immediately and have also confirmed Jake Clifford will be heading to the NRL to re-join North Queensland Cowboys.

This comes as Aidan Sezer, Brodie Croft of Salford Red Devils and Lachlan Lam at Leigh Leopards are chased by NRL clubs.

An NRL halfback in Brad Schneider meanwhile has made an immediate move to Super League and immediate signings can still happen before August 4th.

According to rugby league recruitment company Srama Rugby League have now confirmed that a Super League club are in the market for a centre and a middle forward.

Srama work in recruitment often directing players to the Championship, League One and the Elite One Championship in France but they are now working at getting to “urgent” signings to a Super League club before the 4th August in the shape of an outside back and a middle forward.

This club remains unnamed.

Srama made the following statement:

“Urgent Recruitment: A Super League club are searching for Players effective immediately for a short 2 month deal.

“Priority is centres and middles to Sign & sort immediately.

“Any Players or Agents eligible & interested please get in touch ASAP.”

As aforementioned the deadline for a signing is the 4th August.

Serious About Rugby League have been told that the club is close to agreeing these deals and could even add a third.
