Hull KR are enjoying a pre-season camp abroad as they prepare for a new era under Willie Peters.

After an injury hit 2022 and surgery, star halfback is back on the training field and loving life in pre-season as he revealed on Twitter as he spoke about the benefits:

“A lot on and off the field, a big one is obviously back home its cold and wet but here we have these facilities and with the camp you can do your combinations a little bit better than back home so that’s a big thing and getting the little details right for the upcoming season.

“Off the field it’s bonding together and getting to know each other a bit better with all the new lads and even the lads who have been here for a while, get to know them even better and get to know them on a different level.”

Speaking of combinations, it seems Lewis is developing a superb combination with Lachlan Coote which should have Super League clubs worried:

“Probably Cootey, I have been rooming with him and just been asking how he gets up that early every morning to do his stuff, it’s something he has done a long time.

“Asking him personal questions to get to know him a little better and hopefully that will help our relationship on the field.”
