Super League clubs forced to wait in pursuit of NRL signings

Right now clubs are beginning to sign players for the 2024 Super League campaign.

It has been reported that Salford Red Devils have already secured two signings for next season one of which is Wigan Warriors prop Brad Singleton.

Tomorrow, players who are out of contract at the end of next season can begin to negotiate with rival Super League clubs.

According to Rugby League Live, Leeds Rhinos star Sam Walters is one player going to the open market to see what offers he can receive from rival clubs with teams like St Helens and Wigan expected to be interested in the young prop.

Super League signings aren’t the only signings clubs will make for next year as Super League sides often turn to top NRL stars to add extra quality to their squads.

However, speaking to contacts down under, it seems though Super League clubs will have to wait on securing signings from down under.

This is because Super League targets like Daniel Tupou, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Luke Thompson are considering what they can get from NRL clubs before they turn to the offers coming to them from Super League clubs.

So, although we can expect Super League clubs to begin announcing signings from rival clubs, announcements on NRL signings will likely come towards the end of the season.
