Super League club underline unhappiness with Match Review Panel

Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves, Huddersfield Giants and Salford Red Devils stars landed themselves in trouble with the match review panel on Monday.

14 charges have been handed out to players with six bans awarded with five of these bans going to Super League stars.

Brad Singleton, Luke Yates, Jack Ashworth, Renouf Atoni and Sam Walters were the five players banned and now two players have elected to appeal their bans such as Brad Singleton.

The former Wigan and Leeds prop was banned for a high tackle and this appeal underlines how the club is opposing the use of bans which was underlined by club officials last year as they failed to successfully appeal Kallum Watkins’ ban.

A defeat for Hull FC but their rivals Hull KR further cemented their play off spot as they defeated Huddersfield Giants to end their own play off hopes.
