Super League club set to complete huge shock signing

Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves, Hull FC, Hull KR and Huddersfield Giants have all completed major NRL signings.

There seems to be others coming to the UK from Australia such as Adam Clune to Huddersfield Giants, Morgan Harper to Warrington Wolves and Brenko Lee to either Catalans Dragons or Leeds Rhinos.

Now another major signing is set to take place with Leigh Leopards set to sign Anthony Milford from the NRL according to the Mole of Wide World of Sports,

The former State of Origin star and international has had a rough year at the Dolphins and is now set to join the Leigh Leopards.

This comes as Adrian Lam looks ahead to another big game against Wakefield Trinity.

He said: “Yeah, everyone should be good to go this week. It was just more precautionary for both players (John Asiata and Josh Charnley). We’ve got through that now and we’ll get to the end of the week but I think they both should be okay.

“I just feel that we need to give our best performances each week. I think that’s important that you build momentum, I think confidence and momentum is a key leading into the semi-finals.

“We’re locked in now with that six, which is an incredible honour this year and we’re happy to be able to qualify so early on, and just proud of how hard everyone’s worked to make that happen for us.

“The season’s not finished yet, we’ve already got that Challenge Cup trophy, which has been an amazing achievement as well, but I think the players are looking for more, especially after last weekend; and knowing that it was very physical, they bashed us and we bashed them, and there was a bit of a rugby being played there.

“They’ll be a desperate team, look to respond at the last guard crack at staying up in Super League. When you look at their squad, they’ve still got some really good players there that can lift them out of nowhere.

“We understand the situation and desperation that they’re in; but our want to remain in fourth spot is surely more than their want to stay up in the Super League. We’ve got a home game here, we haven’t been here for a long time, so we get our last two games at home, and that’s really important for our fans and for us it gives us a chance to bounce back from last week’s performance.

“We were really good, but we weren’t clinical with our attack at times, so that’s the fix for us, and making sure that we just focus on ourselves and not put too much concern on how important they are going to be playing in the thoughts of the match for them and the emotion that will be around a Wakefield performance as well. I’ve talked about all that and we will rush through that hopefully and see a performance that matches that performance.”
