Super League club seemingly set for stadium work

The likes of Leeds Rhinos and Hull KR have historic but redeveloped stadiums and Wakefield Trinity have now gotten in on the fun with their grant from Wakefield City Council which has enabled them to improve the historic Belle Vue.

The same money was made available to Castleford Tigers but they have routinely been faced with set backs with the Environmental Agency pushing back against the plans due to a concern over flooding.

The Tigers though are still confident that they will be able to complete the work warning season ticket purchasers that work may be done prompting them to need to move.

This comes as the Tigers agree a sponsorship with CBR Engineering and it seems they could continue helping to work on the stadium.

Since 2014 CBR Engineering has been proudly placed at the front of all Tigers playing and replica kits as our principal partner.

In addition to their front of shirt sponsorship, CBR provide the club with essential works needed at the stadium such as barrier testing and any relevant stadium work required – Steve and Ian are a key part of the club and are always involved in supporting the in other ways such as sponsoring coaches for fans, awards sponsorship and giving back to support the Castleford Tigers Foundation.

Based on Albion Street in Castleford, CBR Engineering Ltd are a specialist fabrication and welding company with a highly skilled apprentice trained workforce, supplying high qualityproducts & services, backed by the very latest certification standards

Owners of CBR Engineering Steve Vause and Ian Allatt had this to say about the continued partnership: “We’re based in the heart of Castleford and it’s important to us that we are supporting Castleford Tigers, a club which is very much the heart of the town too. It gives us great pleasure to be on the front of the shirt for an eleventh season”

Laura Kirk Head of Commercial Partnerships said: “The support we’ve received from CBR Engineering has been instrumental in getting us to where we are today. Steve, Ian and the team have backed the club for well over a decade and are a well-recognised name to the Tigers fans. We’re delighted to be working with them for another season”.
