Super League games could be in doubt after heavy snowfall.
The country entered a cold snap yesterday with snow flurries throughout the day but the dropping temperatures last night and persistent snowfall throughout the night through to this morning has most of the country white over plunging sporting contests into doubt.
There are four Super League games scheduled tonight.
Huddersfield Giants host Castleford Tigers in a game scheduled to be on Sky Sports and act as the Tigers refresh after the departure of Lee Radford.
Elsewhere two teams who have impressed early this season collide in Hull as Hull KR host Warrington Wolves who could go top of the league with a win by four points or more.
Champions St Helens will try and get back on track away at newly promoted Leigh Leopards who beat Hull KR last year,
Elsewhere there is a West Yorkshire derby at Headingley between Leeds Rhinos and Wakefield Trinity.
Huddersfield Giants have delivered an official update saying that they are unable to reach the ground and that an update will be given at midday:
“With heavy snow fall overnight in Huddersfield, club and stadium officials are, as yet, unable to get to the ground.
“The forecast does brighten during the day and roads will no doubt improve.
“Further news of tonight’s game will be given at midday.”
