Super League club in training cancellation due to COVID-19

13th May 2018 , KCOM Craven Park, Hull, England; Ladbrokes Challenge Cup rugby, Hull KR v Wigan Warriors;

Just when you thought we had heard the last of COVID-19 disrupting Super League clubs’ plans, the virus thought again this afternoon.

Hull KR have confirmed the first team’s Tenerife training camp has been deferred until the end of 2022 in a cruel twist of fate for the East Yorkshire side.

The decision comes with recent changes and continued uncertainty to Covid-19 travel regulations creating logistical issues for the Robins’ 10-day trip to the Canary Island.

Deferring the trip also ensures the club does not run the risk of players having to quarantine over Christmas and subsequently hinder their families during the festive period.
