Super League club faces COVID problems as forward ruled out of clash

Joe Westerman will have to sit out Wakefield’s fixture against Wigan this Friday, the Wakefield Express has confirmed.

Westerman was forced to withdraw prior to last week’s defeat to Salford Red Devils and he will still be in his ten-day isolation period when Wakefield take on Wigan.

The forward, who is set to join Castleford next season, does not have COVID himself, but has been forced to isolate after close members of his family test positive.
