The Hull KR planning operation continues at pace for 2025. The high-flying Super League club have already completed some huge signings for next season. Now, they are eyeing up another big name from the NRL.
KR made an early move for next season, by confirming the capture of one of the biggest names in NRL. Sydney Roosters legend and New Zealand international, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, will join the Robins for 2025, in a move which has been hailed as a massive coup before a game has been played.
Hull KR are reportedly on the verge of bringing winger, Tom Davies, to the club from the Catalans Dragons. Davies will fill the spot vacated by the departing Ryan Hall, who will join the Leeds Rhinos in 2025.
Now, the Robins are looking at another big name from the NRL to bolster their backline. The move comes amid talk that Jordan Abdull could also leave the club, to join cross-city rivals Hull FC, after the Catalans Dragons confirmed his loan spell would not be extended.

Wests Tigers are desperate to offload players as they attempt to rebuild their beleaguered squad. The Tigers, who finished bottom of the NRL in 2022 and 2023, currently sit 16th in the competition, with only the South Sydney Rabbitohs beneath them.
They have agreed a deal to bring NRL superstar, Jerome Luai, to the club for next season, which means they have to offload players to balance the books. According to Jenna Brooks, speaking on Sky Sports, Hull KR could be willing to help them, by signing Brent Naden. Brooks said:
“A lot of the talk this week has been surrounding the West Tigers’ Chief Executive Shane Richardson. He’s in the UK trying to offload some players to free up space on their salary cap.
“Hull KR are taking a look at centre or winger Brent Naden.”

28-year-old Naden would add experience and versatility to the Robins’ backline. Naden is able to play both on the wing and at centre and has made five appearances for the Tigers so far this season, scoring one try.
Across his career, he has 33 tries in 68 NRL appearances and joined the Tigers in 2022. Prior joining the Wests’, he had spells with the Penrith Panthers and the Canterbury Bulldogs.
Hull KR already have a strong back line, which they boosted mid-season with the signing of Jack Broadbent from Castleford Tigers. Broadbent, who can also cover full-back, centre and on the wing, has hit the ground running with KR, scoring four tries in four appearances in red and white this season.
Hull KR’s defence has been criticised at times this season, particularly on their right-edge. Naden would strengthen their options for 2025.
