Super League club could be set to make further signings

Leigh Leopards have already shown that they can compete in Super League.

They may have lost their opening two games but showed that they can compete through their performances and then went on to defeat Hull KR and St Helens in impressive results.

They did indeed lose to Warrington Wolves last week but will be hoping to get back on track against Hull FC on Saturday.

Speaking ahead of this game on the Leopards’ YouTube channel, Adrian Lam confirmed that the Leopards are still looking at potential signings.

Lam said: “I’m always in communications with the hierarchy here, Chris Chester is the main one the direct one and every day we’re meeting about it.

“So yeah there are a few names that have come up but it’s important that you keep growing what you have.

“For us it was a real tricky one through the ’22 season of Championship, how we get the squad good enough to compete at Super League but then good enough to stay up and keep growing over the next three or four years.

“That’s been the challenge all along and nothing has changed in our mentality in this first quarter of the season.

“We’re always in negotiations with players and agents, it’s just to make sure that we get the right players that become available.”
