The Wests Tigers caused chaos in the Super League transfer market when reports emerged that several star players were available for transfer. Since Chief Executive, Shane Flanagan, reportedly jetted to the UK to offload several players, there has been a constant string of reports surrounding their talent as the Tigers look to rebuild.
One player reportedly made available by the Tigers was versatile back, Brent Naden. Naden, who can play both on the wing and in the centres, is currently in his third season with the Tigers, having joined the club partway through the 2022 season. He scored five tries in his first eight games with the club and has 33 tries in his 69 NRL appearances across his career.
He has played six games for the Tigers this season, scoring once. Prior to joining the club, he spent three years at the Penrith Panthers before his short spell with Canterbury Bulldogs in 2022.
Now, one of the Super League clubs who have been linked with a move for the back has provided an update on the reports linking them with Naden.

Recent reports had suggested that Naden was being eyed up by both Hull KR and the Catalans Dragons. Whilst Hull KR boss Willie Peters has moved to distance the club from links with Naden, the Dragons are yet to comment publicly.
Now, a report in the Daily Telegraph in Australia suggests that the Dragons are not in the running to sign the Wests Tigers man. The report states:
“The English press have also nominated Catalans as a potential landing spot for Naden. Naden, who too is free to move on at the end of the season despite being contracted to the Tigers, won’t be joining the French-based club.
“A Catalans contact said the club had no interest in pursuing the outside back.”
The Catalans remain in the market for an outside back, following confirmation that both of their starting wingers will leave the club at the end of the season. Tom Johnstone will join Wakefield Trinity and Tom Davies will join Hull KR.
Tommy Makinson will join the Catalans side for next season, with the deal having been confirmed earlier in the week. However, the club still need to recruit a signing for the other wing.
