Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves, Hull KR and Hull FC have all been involved in huge transfer announcements whilst rumours circle the likes of St Helens, Salford Red Devils, Huddersfield Giants and others.
Many clubs will be looking at the NRL for huge signings as we have already seen from Hull KR drafting in the likes of Oliver Gildart and Peta Hiku. Wigan have drafted in Kruise Leeming from Gold Coast Titans.
There have been other targets have appeared for Super League clubs such as Matt Lodge, Luke Brooks and Chad Townsend who have all had differing twists and turns in the journeys of their futures.
But one man who will definitely be in Super League is Lachlan Fitzgibbon who joined Warrington.
On the move, Fitzgibbon said: “It’s been in my vision for the last couple of years to make the move over to Super League.
“They play a really good brand of rugby league in the UK which I feel will suit my game. At 29 I want to come over while I still have my best years in front of me.
“The history of the club and how important the club is to the town and the people of Warrington really resonated with me. I’m from a town over here in Newcastle and it’s full of passionate people who love their footy.
“Michael Monaghan is one of our Assistant Coaches at the Knights and spoke very highly about the club. I know Kurt Gidley too who’s a Newcastle legend. Kurt spoke so positively about the club and town. Hearing how much he enjoyed his time over there really made me feel comfortable about the decision and the move to England.
“I’m looking forward to getting over there and meeting the Warrington fans.”
It has now been revealed that a huge four other clubs were interested in the forward according to Jon Wells on Sky Sports.
We know one of them was Leeds who were initially leading the way but in the end he will be playing at the Halliwell Jones in 2024.
Interesting Fitzgibbon was approached by the Wolves for an immediate move.
