Super League club adds nine to their ranks

Wakefield Trinity have signed nine scholarship players onto their academy, the club confirmed today.

The Academy is the next stage of Trinity’s professional pathway ‘The Wakefield Way’ and the new recruits will now make the step up to professional rugby, training once a week to meet their new teammates, whilst transitioning from community rugby into the professional ranks ahead of starting full time in September.

Head of Youth Mark Applegarth is delighted to welcome the new recruits and said: “I’m really looking forward to seeing all the lads get started and move on to the next stage of their development.

“We have some really exciting coming through the ranks at the moment and these lads will no doubt add value to the Academy squad.

“Jamie, Andreas and the scholarship team have done fantastic job in developing them and I’m looking forward to pushing them even further in the Academy.”

The nine are:
Lewis Magson – West Bowling
Charlie Tetley – Oulton/Heworth
Oli Pratt – Heworth
Eli Saul – Featherstone Lions
Ethan Wood – Emley/ Featherstone Lions
Blake Colton – Bentley ARLFC
Jake Camplin – Normanton Knights
Lennie Jackson – Emley/ Wakefield Hawks
Harry Hartley – Dewsbury Moor
