Catalans Dragons inflicted a hefty 36-8 defeat on Hull FC who were never at the races which set up a three-game Sunday for the first time in a long while.
Castleford Tigers just about scraped home against Toulouse Olympique in the south of France before Wakefield Trinity scored with three minutes remaining to lead the West Yorkshire club to a priceless victory over Warrington Wolves.
To round off the weekend, St Helens grabbed a narrow win over Hull KR in a 26-18 win in what proved to be James Roby’s record-breaking Super League appearance.
