Super League Attendances revealed as Wigan Warriors and St Helens impress whilst others disappoint

Well, that’s another week of Super League done and dusted and what a weekend it was!

St Helens and Leeds Rhinos kicked things off on Thursday night with the former thrashing the latter, 42-12.

Wigan Warriors ended up hammering Toulouse Olympique on Friday night, with Warrington Wolves registering a quite bizarre 4-0 win over Hull FC – a game in which no tries were actually scored.

Fast forward to Sunday afternoon and Salford Red Devils inflicted one of the biggest drubbings in Super League history with a 74-10 triumph against Wakefield Trinity.

Huddersfield Giants were far too good for Hull KR, who lost three men to injury within the opening 15 minutes whilst Castleford Tigers had to rely on a Danny Richardson drop goal to finally overcome Catalans Dragons in dramatic circumstances at the Jungle.

But, what were the attendances from the weekend?

St Helens vs Leeds Rhinos
11,628 at the Totally Wicked Stadium

Warrington Wolves vs Hull FC
8,594 at the Halliwell Jones Stadium

Wigan Warriors vs Toulouse Olympique
14,493 at the DW Stadium

Hull KR vs Huddersfield Giants
7,050 at Craven Park

Castleford Tigers vs Catalans Dragons
6,510 at the Jungle

Salford Red Devils vs Wakefield Trinity
4,047 at the AJ Bell Stadium.

The weekend took a hit in terms of attendances apart from Wigan’s brilliant home numbers against Toulouse, whilst Castleford managed to bring in over 6,500 with no away fans, too.

More spectators were perhaps expected at St Helens on Thursday night, but the Totally Wicked Stadium still drew in the second largest attendance of the weekend.
