Stevo says this Super League club’s owner has a “lack of patience”

Some have started to question whether Tony Smith will remain in the Hull FC job after seven defeats in a row.

It has been reported that Hull owner Adam Pearson has given Smith a vote of confidence despite a lack of patience in the past.

This was something brought up by Eddie Hemmings and Stevo on the Eddie and Stevo podcast.

As Eddie brought it up, Stevo said: “Oh deary me. You’re right about his lack of patience, I remember that he virtually on Sky television announced that the coach had gone.”

This is of course a reference to when Lee Radford left the club suddenly in 2020.

Stevo also has another concern for the Black and Whites:

“A lot of people perhaps don’t realise that there’s rumoured to be 19 or 20 players off contract at the end of the season. That could be a devastating blow where if they lose all those 20 players, where on earth are they going to substitute them?

“Where are they going to get those players from?  If you’re fighting in a relegation battle not many players will think to go because they might think there could be a risk that they’re not playing in Super League next year.”

The Black and Whites meet Huddersfield Giants on Sunday.
