Stevo claims “there is something underneath going on” at struggling Super League club

Leeds Rhinos have been struggling lately.

The Rhinos take on Huddersfield Giants on Friday night.

They have lost six of their last seven in a run of form which has seen them slip six points behind the play-offs.

As pressure mounts on Rohan Smith, former Sky Sports commentator Stevo has claimed that there’s something going on behind the scenes at the club.

“You keep saying that results are everything and yes, they are. The fans, well, they’re disillusion,” he said on the Eddie and Stevo podcast.

“To me, there is something underneath that’s going on because one week they can play good, and then, especially in the first half, or vice versa, they don’t play well in the first half and play well in the second half.

“You’ve got to get the you got to make sure that it’s there for 80 minutes.

“The fans will have a big big say and and rightly so.

“What would happen if say for instance that Leeds continued to lose every single game and Wakefield and Castleford, climb the ladder, which is also possible, maybe not as feasible. Then they could be relegated.

“They’ve got to start looking at the points table and say, we’re not safe. Castleford are not safe either.

“Look I can remember Gary Hetherington said that Richard Agar basically was there as long as he wants, after they won the Challenge Cup. It didn’t take long before that went sour.”
