Steve Price explains Blake Austin and Josh Charnley’s omissions in play-off clash

When Steve Price named his squad for tonight’s clash against Hull KR, Warrington fans were scratching their heads as to why Blake Austin and Josh Charnley had been left out.

It will be Price’s last game in charge of the Wolves if they lose tonight so all eyes have been firmly focused on the Australian head coach.

But, he has made a big decision in keeping out both Austin and Charnley, with Price deciding to go for youngsters instead.

“I’ve got the utmost confidence that the guys that will step in will do a great job,” Price said.

“We’ve got a number of quality players that miss out, but we’ve got a number of good young players that have been playing good footy and I just didn’t want to leave them out.”
