Star set to put pen to paper on TEN-YEAR deal

Brisbane froward Payne Haas is reportedly going to sign the biggest contract ever signed by a prop in the NRL.

The Courier Mail says Haas is close to confirming a ten-year deal with the Broncos that could be worth a staggering $10 million.

The 21-year-old’s contract ends at the end of 2024, but his deal at the moment is worth $550,000 a season, but the new contract will see Haas almost double those earnings.

He has been a man in demand, with the Courier Mail reporting that as many as TEN NRL clubs have tried to have a chat with him or his management in 2021.

Brisbane’s new head of football, Ben Ikin, was coy in his answer to such an incredible offer.

“We will remain in the conversation with Payne and his agent about how we make sure he stays at the Broncos for life,” Ikin said.
