Star set to miss Wembley final due to COVID

Frankie Halton will miss Featherstone’s clash with York at Wembley on Saturday.

That’s because the Hull KR-bound forward is subject to the RFL’s return-to-play protocol which will see him absent for the 1895 Cup final.

Halton has been isolating due to COVID, but is now out of his ten-day government requirement. Unfortunately, that also means he is unable to play for another week.

It’s a bitter blow for the former Swinton Lions star who has impressed greatly since moving to Rovers at the beginning of 2021.
