Star player set for $1 million offer after chasing club switched focus to Wigan Warriors man

The Parramatta Eels halfbacks are probably the most talked about halfbacks in the world at present as Mitchell Moses and Dylan Brown both enter the final years of their deals allowing rival clubs to negotiate with them about a move going into 2023.

Brown has recently been offered $1 million by new club The Dolphins and coach Wayne Bennett.

Meanwhile, the Canterbury Bulldogs and Wests Tigers have been chasing Moses for some time.

The Tigers even explored the chances of luring him to the club for 2023 after letting former Salford Red Devils and Wigan Warriors halfback leave the club to join Newcastle Knights in a swap deal for David Klemmer.

However, they have since abandoned such a pursuit. Though still interested in Moses for 2024, their recruitment for 2023 is now focused on Wigan Warriors star John Bateman according to reports.

The club is set to pay the $250,000 to bring him to the club on a three-year-deal.

However, as the Tigers focus on sealing this deal, the Eels are now determined to keep Moses and have tabled an offer of over $1 million to keep him at the club if he accepts the Tigers will have missed on his signature.

That said, the Daily Telegraph don’t seem to think he will accept the deal opening the door for the Bulldogs and the Tigers.
