Stadium change for Catalans

Catalans have been synonymous with the Gilbert Brutus Stadium since joining Super League. It has consistently been their home and has been a fortress in their best seasons. But their pre-season friendly next week won’t be played there.

The Dragons game against the Elite 1 Selection team will now be played at the Aime Giral Stadium at 3 p.m. on Saturday 6th March. This is to allow the organised football game between Canet and Olympique de Marseille to go ahead in the Coupe de France.

The game is Catalans penultimate friendly ahead of the Super League season and sees them play against the best of the Elite 1 Championship in France. They follow that up with a game against Toulouse who themselves are gearing up towards the Championship season.

The Dragons will then begin their Super League campaign against Hull KR at Headingley on Saturday 27th March before taking on Huddersfield Giants in Round Two on Sunday 3rd April.
