St Helens vs Salford Red Devils: Kick-off time, TV channel and predicted line-ups

Champions St Helens take on a Salford side in desperate need of a win.

A poor run of form from the Red Devils now sees them one point above 11th despite a positive start to the season.

But things don’t get any easier for them as they take on the Champions who welcome back fresh first team stars after they were rested for the encounter with Castleford.

Kick-off time and TV channel

The game kicks off at 20:00.

There is no TV coverage coverage but highlights will be available on Super League’s YouTube channel and BBC’s Super League Show.

Predicted Line-ups

St Helens
Kristian Woolf promised in his pre-match press conference that the seven, six and one he plays tonight is the one he plans to move forward with this season. So what could that be? With Will Hopoate back in the mix, he may take over in the halves although he could move to fullback with Jack Welsby in the halves. Hopoate’s move into the spine coupled with Konrad Hurrell’s suspension and Jon Bennison’s injury mean we could see Ben Davies and Josh Simm figure in the backline for the Champions.

Salford Red Devils
Salford were only able to name a 20-man squad for today’s game which leaves Paul Rowley with some difficulties in terms of selection. Morgan Escare will replace Ryan Brierley at fullback whilst Danny Addy moves to 13 following the injury to Elijah Taylor with Ryan Lannon making his return in the backrow. Chris Atkin will remain in the halves following Marc Sneyd’s injury.
