Sky Sports will not televise the derby clash between St Helens and Wigan on Friday 12th July.
It will be the first time since Super League started in 1996 that the TV cameras will not be present at a Saints-Wigan match.
Instead Sky will be at Headingley for Leeds Rhinos battle with Hull Kingston Rovers as both sides fight to avoid relegation.
The match chosen for TV the night before sees the other relegation contenders London Broncos travel to the KCOM Stadium to take on Hull FC.
Although the decision is controversial, Super League leaders’ Saints may see the absent TV cameras as an ideal opportunity to sell-out the derby clash at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
