Hull KR have been boosted by the return of Mikey Lewis ahead of this week’s clash with St Helens. The Robins travel to the Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday night with both sides putting their 100 per cent records on the line in round four.
Willie Peters has made three changes to his Rovers squad but the notable inclusion of Mikey Lewis is a big one. Lewis missed last week’s clash against Salford Red Devils after picking up an ankle injury in the win over Wakefield Trinity a fortnight ago.
However, the reigning Man of Steel has been included in the 21-man squad and could be set to feature against the Saints.
Rovers will be without Rhyse Martin due to a quad injury that will see the back-rower undergo surgery and rule him out for around four months. That comes as a huge blow for Peters, but the Robins do have strength in depth, with Kelepi Tangioa and Dean Hadley able to slot into the starting line-up at back-row.
Niall Evalds sits out having failed a head injury assessment last week, while Bill Leyland also drops out. That opens for the door for Lee Kershaw and Eribe Doro to be named in the KR squad with the former spending the last two weeks on loan at Castleford Tigers.
St Helens head coach Paul Wellens has made just one change to his squad with Morgan Knowles returning to the fold in place of Ben Davies. Knowles missed the win over Wakefield Trinity due to a head injury.
