St Helens v Hull KR: Squads Announced

St Helens and Hull KR have both announced their 21-man squads for Friday evening’s fixture at the Totally Wicked Stadium (KO 6:00pm).

Saints would have entered the game as league leaders, was it not for the RFL’s newly-enforced points percentage table system, which has moved them down into second.

They will be looking to continue their 100% win record since the competition restarted, having convincingly overturned Huddersfield last week, while KR will be hoping to claim a second consecutive giant-killing, having stunned Wigan with a 34-18 win last Thursday.

St Helens

James Roby and Zeb Taia both return for Saints after missing last week’s win through minor injuries. They replace youngsters Lewis Dodd and Josh Eaves. Theo Fages is also named by Kristian Woolf, despite not being chosen against the Giants after injuring his knee against Rovers when the sides met two weeks ago.

21-man squad: 1 Lachlan Coote, 3 Kevin Naiqama, 5 Regan Grace, 6 Jonny Lomax, 7 Theo Fages, 8 Alex Walmsley, 9 James Roby, 11 Zeb Taia, 12 Dominique Peyroux, 13 Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook, 14 Morgan Knowles, 15 Matty Lees, 16 Kyle Amor, 17 Jack Ashworth, 19 Aaron Smith, 20 James Bentley, 21 Matty Costello, 22 Jack Welsby, 23 Joe Batchelor, 26 Josh Simm, 32 James Graham.

Hull KR

Tony Smith makes just once change to his side, with Mitch Garbutt returning in place of Jamie Ellis. Youngsters Mikey Lewis and Jez Litten both retain their places after impressive performances against the Warriors.
