Mark Percival has been a stalwart for St Helens over the last decade and heading into his 11th season the centre has been granted a testimonial year.
Still only 28-years-old Percival could have plenty more years donning the Red Vee but for his upcoming testimonial match Saints will run out wearing a specially designed shirt which Percival has revealed via his Twitter.
Just shy of 200 appearances for Saints and sitting on 179 in Super League, he’ll join an elite list of having over 200 Super League appearances if all goes well in 2023.
Percival will lead the Saints out against Widnes on Friday in the 8pm kick-off at the Totally Wicked Stadium, the reigning champions first home game of 2023, and the first chance for fans to see the incredible shirt of Percival’s in the flesh.
Proud to unveil my Testimonial Shirt which will be worn in the warm up
Thank you to my sponsors United Carpets and Beds, SJJ Contracts, Grundy & Co, Clean Hire LTD, Drac Distribution, Stamford Legal, D Hoult Joinery and Autism Friendly Caravans who have made the shirt possible. pic.twitter.com/KLIRgPqMab

The shirt will be worn during the warm-up and features a badge that shows Percival celebrating whilst the midriff and lower abs section shows a larger black and white faded image of the star centre.
All numbers are imprinted with the traditional Saints badge as well as Halton Hornets, where Percival played his junior rugby, whilst the V in his name is highlighted in red, hinting at the unprecedented push for a fifth consecutive Super League title.
Following the testimonial St Helens will head to Australia to take part in both the NRL ‘pre-season challenge’ and then the World Club Challenge, in which Saints could become an even more historic side with a win down under but also earn themselves $100,000, as reported here.
