After no Super League action yesterday, Friday has gifted us with two games as Huddersfield Giants host Hull FC and St Helens face Catalans Dragons with a huge decision made on Jake Connor.
The two games take place at either end of the Super League table with Saints pushing to go top with a win over Catalans Dragons whilst Hull FC will be aiming to distance themselves from the foot of the table against eighth-placed Huddersfield.
The Giants have been struggling of late with four consecutive losses in Super League and five in total, whereas Hull FC’s streak has now reached double figures. Unless we see a result akin to Castleford Tigers and Leigh Leopards, a game that was a draw after golden point, then one team will finally break their winless streak.
As for Catalans, they’re aiming to bounce back from defeat against Warrington whilst Saints know that a win puts them atop Super League, at least overnight anyway.

Huddersfield Giants kick-off against Hull FC slightly earlier than Saints face Catalans with the game at the John Smiths Stadium being a 7:45 pm kickoff and Ian Watson has made a big decision on controversial star Jake Connor.
After missing out last week following a string of on-field disciplinary issues, Jake Connor has been recalled but only to the bench. Tui Lolohea keeps his spot at full-back and Olly Russell remains in the halves alongside Adam Clune.
Thomas Deakin also gets another Super League start with Adam Milner out, whilst for Hull FC there is only one change and that sees Davy Litten brought onto the bench in place of Zach Jebson.

The major news revolves around St Helens with Agnatius Paasi set to play his first Super League game in over 10 months with the forward suffering a season-ending injury against Leigh Leopards in the Challenge Cup last season.
Paasi last played a Super League game on July 13th in a home game against Catalans Dragons that the Red Vee lost 14-12.
His return is much-needed with St Helens having lost a string of players to injury lately including forwards Jake Wingfield and Morgan Knowles, whilst captain Jonny Lomax also misses out due to a hand injury. As such Moses Mbye plays in the halves.
As for Catalans, they’re shuffling the spine too with full-back Arthur Mourgue shifting to hooker in a surprise switch as Steve McNamara’s side deal with the HIA loss of Alrix Da Costa.
