The team news for tonight’s clash between Huddersfield Giants and St Helens has been confirmed, with the away side making multiple changes following last week’s Challenge Cup semi-final defeat.
Huddersfield confirmed last week that Jim Lenihan would take over as the new permanent head coach, effective immediately.
However, he has not yet arrived in the UK meaning it will likely be Liam Finn’s last game in charge as interim boss before he moves back to an assistant role.
The Giants will be looking to impress in front of their new boss, even though he won’t be able to watch the performance in person.
Saints meanwhile, have made multiple switches, some forced and some not.
Paul Rowley had plenty to deal with this week in terms of team selection, with two of his forwards dropping out through injury.
Huddersfield Giants v St Helens Team News:
Starting with the home side, Adam Clune is out for four months so Oliver Russell slots in alongside Tui Lolohea in the halves.
Lee Kershaw has joined on loan from Hull KR, and he makes his first Super League appearance since April 2025, where he featured on loan for Castleford Tigers.
Connor Wrench is absent, meaning there is a first start of the season for Lewis Jagger.
Moving on to the away side, and Kyle Feldt has missed out on selection despite being cleared of a HIA issue.
Matty Lees (knee) and Noah Stephens (HIA) drop out of the side after their respective injuries meaning Alex Walmsley starts the game whilst Curtis Sironen returns on the bench.
