St Helens lose another man as Tristan Sailor named in shock position to face Catalans Dragons

The teams are in for tonight’s Super League double header, with both Wigan Warriors and St Helens in action.

Wigan travel to bottom-of-the-league Huddersfield Giants, in a game that is expected to be very one-sided. However, the same could be said heading into the reverse fixture, and the Giants ended up pulling off one of the shocks of the season against Matt Peet’s men.

Saints, meanwhile, fresh off their 46-0 drubbing at home to Toulouse, have a chance to bounce back as they welcome Catalans Dragons to the Brewdog Stadium. Saints have beaten Les Dracs twice this season already, but with 16 first-team players out, it will be no easy feat for Paul Rowley’s side this time around.

Super League Team News as Wigan Warriors and St Helens make changes

Huddersfield Giants v Wigan Warriors:

After Oliver Russell’s Achilles injury last time out, Giants boss Jim Lenihan has replaced the half-back with Kieran Rush, who will partner Tui Lolohea. The Giants boss also confirmed season-ending blows for Tom Burgess and Asher O’Donnell this week.

Adam Swift drops out, whilst George Flanagan Jr remains dropped.

Wigan welcome back George Marsden after injury. Not only does that give the side two specialist halves, but it allows Adam Keighran to return to his natural position of centre.

Winger Owen Dagnall became the latest injury casualty after he was confirmed to have suffered an ACL injury in last week’s defeat. He has been replaced by Jack Campbell, who comes in for his debut.

Paul Rowley has also made a major switch, with Tristan Sailor set to play in the centres and Harry Robertson into the halves. Nene MacDonald has also dropped out of the side, meaning Jake Davies plays in the centres.

Catalans welcome back Guillermo Aispuro-Bichet from suspension, whilst Ugo Tison starts and Kruise Leeming drops to the bench.
