
This week’s Championship round-up features some big scorelines and some last-minute winning tries.
Only one team have managed to get three wins from three in the second tier, with two teams lurking at the foot of the table on zero points apiece.

Championship round-up results
Toulouse Olympique 36-4 Bradford Bulls
Bradford’s five-game unbeaten start to 2025 came to an end following Toulouse’s 36-4 victory over them.
The Olympique ran in seven tries for an emphatic victory, including a hat-trick for Benjamin Laguerre in front of a crowd of 3720.
Bradford got their sole try in the 64th minute through a Jayden Okunbor score but it was too little, too late for Brian Noble’s side.
New Toulouse signing Thomas Lacans featured off the bench.
York Knights 10-18 Halifax Panthers
Halifax went top of the table with three wins from three games following their 18-10 victory over York.
The Knights had to rejig their entire line-up after Will Dagger pulled out during the warm-up.
Halifax went into half-time with an 8-0 lead following George Whitby’s try, who’s on loan to the Panthers from St Helens.
The Panthers scored another try just four minutes into the second half through a Louis Jouffret try before Ben Jones-Bishop grabbed York’s first try on his second debut for the club.
York grabbed another through Oli Field before Brandon Douglas sealed it for Halifax in the 78th minute for an 18-10 win.
Hunslet RLFC 10-38 Doncaster RLFC
Doncaster grabbed their first win of 2025, beating Hunslet 38-10, and Hunslet remain without a point.
By half-time, Doncaster had grabbed themselves a 24-0 lead with tries from Pauli Pauli, Bureta Faraimo and Watson Boas as well as a Reece Lyne brace.
Alex Sutcliffe added another after the break for Doncaster before Hunslet got their first points of the afternoon through a Noah Booth interception, going 90m to score.
Brad Hey got Doncaster’s final try of the afternoon before Ethan Wood managed to reduce the deficit for Hunslet as the full-time hooter sounded, giving Doncaster a 38-10 win.
Featherstone Rovers 12-19 Sheffield Eagles
Sheffield got their first victory of 2025, beating Featherstone 19-12.
The Eagles got off to a better start, with a Morgan Smith score within the first five minutes
Featherstone responded quickly with a Jordan Williams try before Smith grabbed his second of the afternoon, with Sheffield taking a 14-6 lead into half-time.
It took until the 67th minute for the next score from Jack Walker before King Vuniyayawa added a try for a nervy last ten minutes.
Cory Aston added a drop goal in the 73rd minute to give the Eagles a 19-12 win away from home.
Barrow Raiders 20-6 Oldham RLFC
Barrow continued their strong start to the season to claim their second win of the season over Oldham.
The Raiders got off to a bright start with a superb Tee Ritson solo effort, which was converted by Brad Walker.
Walker added two penalty goals for a 10-0 lead before Riley Dean grabbed the only Oldham try for the afternoon to give Barrow a 10-6 lead at half-time.
It took Barrow only two minutes into the second half through an Andrew Bulman score before Aaron Smith added another four minutes before full-time for a 20-6 victory.
Batley Bulldogs 28-20 Widnes Vikings
It was Batley who came out on top to claim their first win of the season as Widnes lost for the first time in the 2025 Championship campaign.
The Vikings got off to a quick start with tries from Matty Fozard and Rhys Williams before Batley responded with a Jack Render score, giving Widnes a 12-6 lead going into half-time.
Batley fought back in the second half through a Joe Arundel try before Widnes added another try from Max Roberts.
Again, Batley responded with an Elliot Kear try before Brad Martin added another for the Bulldogs on his debut.
Martin added his second of the afternoon and Batley’s last gave the Bulldogs a 28-20 win.
