St Helens, Leeds Rhinos and Hull FC: Super League stars who could be in disciplinary trouble

Well, that’s another week of Super League done and dusted and what a weekend it was!

St Helens and Leeds Rhinos kicked things off on Thursday night with the former thrashing the latter, 42-12.

Wigan Warriors ended up hammering Toulouse Olympique on Friday night, with Warrington Wolves registering a quite bizarre 4-0 win over Hull FC – a game in which no tries were actually scored.

Fast forward to Sunday afternoon and Salford Red Devils inflicted one of the biggest drubbings in Super League history with a 74-10 triumph against Wakefield Trinity.

Huddersfield Giants were far too good for Hull KR, who lost three men to injury within the opening 15 minutes whilst Castleford Tigers had to rely on a Danny Richardson drop goal to finally overcome Catalans Dragons in dramatic circumstances at the Jungle.

But, which Super League stars do us at Serious About Rugby League think could be in disciplinary trouble from the weekend’s fixtures?

Remember, this is only our opinion with the Disciplinary Match Review Panel set to make a decision later in the day.

St Helens vs Leeds Rhinos
Matty Lees (St Helens) – shoulder charge
James Bentley (Leeds Rhinos) – high tackle and other contrary behaviour
Bodene Thompson (Leeds Rhinos) – trip
Zane Tetevano (Leeds Rhinos) – dangerous tackle

Warrington Wolves vs Hull FC
Scott Taylor (Hull FC) – shoulder charge

If Lees and Taylor are found guilty, it would mean that the former would miss Saints’ away game at Catalans Dragons with the latter potentially missing out on Hull’s clash against Leeds Rhinos.

If Bentley, Thompson and Tetevano are found guilty, they would miss that fixture with the Black and Whites.

I would think only Z ane Tetevano will be punished. That was a bad one.
