St Helens launch amazing new kit paying homage to the club’s past

St Helens have launched a brilliant kit for the Magic Weekend to celebrate their 150th year.

The shirt has a very traditional look with Brown and Sky hoops, cleverly alternated to create a front of shirt vee, coupled with a traditional White collar with Button fastening.

The left chest proudly carries an adapted version of the St Helens Town Crest, used in the 1960s and 70s, on an enlarged white background with the Club initials ‘STH R.F.C.’ adorned underneath.

The shirt will be the first time in 27 years, since the 1996 season, that the St Helens playing shirt has featured the Town crest in a match.

The kit will be worn at both the Magic Weekend 2023, and will also be worn in our Heritage Celebration Fixture, in Round 25 Betfred Super League vs Leigh Leopards at Totally Wicked Stadium, Friday 8 September 2023.

The shirt has been produced in partnership with the club’s official partners, O’Neills.

The kit will be complimented by white shorts with a Brown/Sky side panel and Brown/Sky hooped socks, of which very limited quantities are available.

The replica shirt is made from modern Koolite fabric as per all recent replica kits giving a lightweight and easily cared for garment.

Here’s a look at the shirt:
