St Helens head coach Kristian Woolf gives update on Regan Grace and suspended Konrad Hurrell

Regan Grace has yet to feature for St Helens in 2022 following an injury problem.

The Welsh winger suffered an elbow injury in pre-season and was ruled out for the first month of the 2022 Super League campaign.

And, now Saints head coach Kristian Woolf has given an injury update on Grace as well as an injury update in general from the victory over Hull KR last Friday night.

“We came through really well, everyone is fit and healthy and we came through with a lot less knocks and bangs than in the early weeks of the season as the body starts getting a little bit more used it,” Woolf told Saints TV.

“Regan isn’t too far off, a week or two I would think.

“He’s got a little bit to get through just yet which is why I don’t want to commit to anything yet.

“He’s got a bit to get through in terms of what he does physically with us and then he’s got to get through some things with the doctor but he’s certainly close.”

Another Saints star who won’t feature against Warrington Wolves on Friday night is Konrad Hurrell after he picked up a one-match ban.

“Obviously we will miss Koni – he’s been really good in the opening rounds.

“He’s brought a different element to us and in particular with the way he carries the ball.”
