St Helens forward issued with suspension

St Helens will be without Morgan Knowles for Sunday’s game against Catalans.

The forward has copped a one-match ban from the RFL’s Match Review Panel following Easter Monday’s victory against Hull FC.

Knowles was cited for dangerous contact on Albert Kelly in the 70th minute, with the incident placed on report by referee Robert Hicks.

The Match Review Panel deemed he was guilty of Rule 15.1(i) which states:

“Defender uses any part of his body forcefully to twist, bend or otherwise apply pressure to the limb or limbs of an opposing player in a way that involves an unacceptable risk of injury to that player.”

He will therefore be unavailable to Saints coach Justin Holbrook this weekend as his team look to avenge their early season defeat to the Dragons.
