England Women have selected their squad to face Australia in Las Vegas with seven St Helens stars named in the 20-strong squad.
It’s now just three weeks until that incredible Las Vegas event which will see Wigan Warriors face Warrington Wolves, two NRL games and the exciting international between England and Australia.
With Australia having named their squad already, it’s now the turn of Stuart Barrow to select his side and he’s lent heavily on Challenge Cup winners with seven of the 20 players he has selected hailing from St Helens.
Barrow has gone with two uncapped players whilst also making brave calls that have seen veteran star Emily Rudge committed, showcasing how difficult the selection process will have been and underlining the talent that England have at their disposal.
York’s Jas Bell and Wigan’s 18-year-old Jenna Foubister are the uncapped duo with Anna Davies the other Wigan Warriors player to earn selection.
Meanwhile, last year’s Grand Final winners York Valkyrie have a total of five players named including Bell with Tamzin Renouf, Georgie Dagger, Eboni Partington and Liv Wood also selected.
Leeds Rhinos have seen Keara Bennett, Izzy Northrop and Bella Sykes named whilst Georgia Roche (Newcastle Knights), Hollie-Mae Dodd (Canberra Raiders) and Paige Travis (joining Parramatta Eels for 2025) are the three NRLW selections made.
That leaves a whopping seven St Helens players to be selected including club and international captain Jodie Cunningham as well as veterans Amy Hardcastle and Shona Hoyle – all three of whom played against Australia in the last meeting back in 2017.
Other Saints selected are Zoe Harris, Katie Mottershead, Erin Stott and Vicky Whitfield.
England will travel stateside on Tuesday 25th of February ahead of their game on March 1st which will be televised in the early hours of March 2nd live on Sky Sports.

Australia had named their squad the day prior with surprise selections seeing the likes of Jaime Chapman omitted with the Jillaroos also forced into a late coaching switch as Brad Donald resigned from his role meaning Jess Skinner has been appointed as interim coach.
