St Helens boss Kristian Woolf gives big update on Mark Percival as Sione Mata’utia and Will Hopoate gear up for return

St Helens travel to the south of France this weekend to take on the Catalans Dragons at the Stade Gilbert Brutus.

The Saturday evening kick-off time sees the French side broadcast live on Sky Sports as top of the table Saints attempt to get one over on the Dragons on their own patch.

And, Kristian Woolf’s men will be buoyed by the fact that two key players will return – and a third may do also.

“Sione Mata’utia will return from suspension as will James Bell,” Woolf told Saints TV.

“Will Hopoate he is one we will make a a decision on later in the week but he has a very god chance of playing.:

One player who will be absent again is Mark Percival, whose injury is not quite right just yet, Woolf has revealed.

“There is no setback but it’s just one we need to make sure we get right and it’s not quite right just yet.

“It didn’t have a definite timeline at the start and we were hoping it to be five weeks but it’s six now.

“But we’re not going to rush it and be desperate, we need to make sure we make the conscious approach.”

A win over Catalans in what is expected to be piping heat down in the south of France will send an even bigger message out to Saints’ rivals that they are determined to win four Super League titles in a row.
