It’s that time of the year where players are being consistently linked to other sides with the May 1 deadline passed a month ago.
That means that off-contract stars can negotiate with other clubs in a bid to secure their future one way or another.
For second-bottom Wakefield Trinity, that could possible not have come at a worse time for them considering they are sat just two points above Toulouse Olympique in the Super League table.
And, for former Wakefield man Kyle Amor, it isn’t looking good with two of their main players being linked with moves elsewhere.
“There seems to be a lot of unrest at Wakefield; you’re hearing players like Mason Lino being linked with Wigan and Jacob Miller being linked with Castleford,” Amor said on The Last Tackle podcast.
“You’re near the bottom of the table and you’re hearing two of your best players have an exit plan out of that relegation fight for next year.
“It’s that time of the year where people are being told if they are being kept on or they can move on and they are sat above Toulouse by just two points.”
Wakefield can stretch that gap this weekend if they beat Hull FC at home on Sunday afternoon and hope Toulouse go down to St Helens on Saturday evening.
