Police are investigating South Sydney Rabbitohs halfback Cody Walker following an alleged incident outside a hotel on New South Wales’ Central Coast last weekend.

NSW Police confirmed they were conducting inquiries after reports that males were fighting outside hotel in Terrigal at approximately 2.30am last Saturday.

“Just after 2.30am on Saturday April 30, police were called to a Terrigal hotel after reports males were fighting outside on Pine Tree Avenue,” a police holding statement said.

“Officers from Brisbane Waters police district attended and the group had dispersed. Police conducted inquiries appearing to security and will review CCTV vision when available.

“Inquiries are continuing.”

Walker’s adviser, boxing promoter Matt Rose, believes that a lot has been made out of a little.

“He was having a wrestle with his brother and a mate in the foyer as a bit of fun,” Rose said.

“Someone complained they were making too much noise. So they went back to their rooms. There was really nothing in it.”

However, it’s not the first time that Walker has been in the public eye after being suspended for two matches in 2020 due to being filmed kicking a man in the chest in a street fight in the NSW town of Casino.
